Statement of Faith

The Scriptures: We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God in that holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of all parts of scripture in the original autograph. Thus scripture is absolutely infallible in all sections: history, poetry, doctrine, and prophecy. All scripture, both Old and New Testament, point directly to the Lord Jesus Christ, to His person and to His work. All scriptures were designed for our personal and practical instruction. We believe marriage, as God intended, is the legally or formally-recognized union between a biologically-born man and a biologically-born woman.

(Luke 24:44; John 5:29; Acts 18:8; Romans 15:4; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21); Leviticus 18:22; Matthew 19:4; Mark 10:6-8)

The Trinity: We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They have precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29; Hebrews 1:1-3; 1 John 5:7)

The Lord Jesus Christ: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully and eternally God on the human side, virgin born receiving a body and a sinless human nature. He died for our sins, was buried and arose in the same body. He is now in heaven as our Great High Priest, He will personally remove His saints from the earth, then will follow the Tribulation period after which the Lord will come with His saints, setting up His Millennial Kingdom.

(Luke 1:31-35; 1 Cor. 15:3-4,22-23,51-52; Hebrews 9:11-12, 10:1-10; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; Rev. 19:7-16, 20:1-7)

The Fall of Man: We believe that man was originally created in the image of God, fell through sin, is spiritually lost and is under the power of the devil. This total depravity of human nature has been passed on to the entire human race. Apart from divine grace, man is unchangeable, bad and doomed to hell and the lake of fire for eternity.

(Genesis 1:26, 2:7; Psalm 51:5; Luke 16:22-23; John 3:6; 1 John 3:8; Romans 5:12; Revelation 20:15)

The Complete Salvation: We believe that Jesus Christ became our substitute, shedding His blood which was essential for our salvation and that salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We unconditionally give our lives to Him by allowing Christ to live within our lives. As saved ones we may grow in realization of His blessing and divine power through yielding our lives to Him. Upon salvation we received eternal life and are secure, having possession of every spiritual blessing making us absolutely complete in Christ and secure for all eternity.

(Leviticus 17:11; Matt. 26:28; John 10:27-29; Rom. 5:6-9; 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 1-3; Col 2:10; 1 John 4:17)

The Holy Spirit: We believe that this member of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, is omnipresent from eternity. He has divine ministries restraining evil in the world; regeneration; indwelling and anointing; baptizing every believer into the Body of Christ; filling and empowering believers for service, always pointing to the person of Christ. We do not adhere to the teaching and/or the practices of the modern, charismatic movement.

(John 14:16-17, 16:1- Romans 8; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18; 1 John 2:27)

The Church: We believe that the universal church is comprised of all saved persons regardless of any denominational ties. The local church comprised of elders, deacons and believers, is just the individual workings of the universal church which is geographically centered at one point. They gather by the leading of the Holy Spirit for worship, prayer and fellowship, practicing the two ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

(Matt. 16:16-18; Acts 2:42-47; Romans 8:14; Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:12; Philippians 1:1; 1 Cor. 11:23-33)
